The Tourist Tour..

The weather is still damm hot and the whole family decided to take a tour to the castle:Schloss Nymphenburg. It was the castle of the bavarian kings and queens and is only 30 mins away from the city. The gardens are fantastic and massiv..You can walk around in there for agees! We also had a look around inside, but that was a bit dissappointing. Only a few rooms are restored and open 4 the public and those few aren't very nice to look at really..a few pictures, lots of gold etc.

My brother read in a tourguide about munichs best icecreamshop. After the visit to the castle we went there to test the icecream ourselves:-) Was very nice. I had a cup called TUTTI FRUTTI and it was full with cream, 5 scoops of icecream and sauces, fruit..fantastic..and great for the figure too i guess..lol..but what can you do in this heat??

For dinner we went to a Beergarden close to my brotheres home and we got the best food and for the guys beer..was my first visit to a "real" beergarden..later at night we went to a moonlight cinema close by where they shhowed Dirty Dancing!!WAs great..the screen was inside a lake and you could swim or people watched the movie from their rubber boats..and all for free!!

The family is out in the city again today but i decided to stay home and watch the national championships in horseriding so have peace and quiet:-) and as it's raining outside I don't think I am missing a lot.

Ok, take care girls and speak to you soon.

Munich

Hi Girls,

arrived in Munich savely and it's bloody hot!! The last days were around 35 degrees and I must admit that my body has a few problems coping with it at the moment. Bit of a massive change from cold Melbourne:-) So we are still hanging around trying to stay cool. Went to the city yesterday and enjoyed our first beers in a Beergarden. I had a coke tho as wasn't feeling to good cause of the heat..but was nice to sit under the trees and looking at all the people walking past..met an australian tourist group and they had a ball..

Munich is so different to the rest of Germany. You see german flags everywhere and a lot of traditionell clothes etc..very weird..but interersting. Might go and buy myself a german shirt too..as am the tourist here..

Ok, I will keep sweating and can just hope that it will cool down soon. Take care girls and chat soon.

1 Day to go!

Hi,

Rebecca

Hi Girls,

it's my last day!! Cant believe it. Just packed my stuff and think am organized now..But you never know. Will have to leave here tomorrow morning around 11ish as not sure yet to get a Taxi or just take the tram to the skybus..Think i will decide that tomorrow spontaniuosly. Just checked the weather forcast for Germany and it seems to be still nice and warm..Can't wait!! Friday night was another Blonds on the Rocks..as usual very nice but also very packed! We left around 2ish as the level of oxygen just droped to much:-) But was nice to meet everybody before flying out to Europe. Will have to go to the City today to sort out bits and pieces and will relax tonight..It's still cold and wet here so you really don't wanna go out if you don't have to..lol..

Love you heaps and see some of you in a few weeks in england.

Take care

Celebrations..

Immer wieder nett.

WOO HOO.

Drueck Euch und bis bald.

Rebecca

Hi there,

sorry Cath, pinched your pic but just loved it and thought I can risk it to put it on my german blog..might get threats afterwards..lol..

We went out to the Greyhound last Sat to celebrate my permanency. Most people were busy tho so i only went with Deb and Selina. Was a great night tho. Trashy Greyhound with its 80s music and Drag Queens. Pumped into Lou, Brydie and Nic and had a boogie with them too..so I think for a start I celebrated quiet well. Had to work sunday tho so didn't stay out to long..We will have to do that again tho when I am back in Australia. Sunday I worked at the old RSL Club in Elsternwick and served 80+ year old lunch!! Much fun I tell you..they are half deaf and don't have any teeth left so take ages to finish their meals and then they complain that the food is cold!! Argh..But survived even that and met Jodie later that night to go out for dinner in St Kilda. We went to Chinta Blues and had the best Laksa and Curry..I finally got my new fillings done yesterday at the dentist, which wasn't really funny. As the anasthetic didn't work properly the first time, he had to give me another injection with the result that my whole face was numb for hours afterwards!! felt and looked a bit like a chipmunk:-) But all good now and I hope that I won't have to go back to soon. Only 3 days left here at the passportoffice and then it's nearly time to get packed and go to the airport. Haven't figured out yet how to get there tho as everybody will be working, so will either have to pay 50 dollar+ for a taxi or have the hassle of catching 2 Trams and then the skybus..So will decide that on the day I guess, depending how I feel. The thing is you don't wanna be exhausted and all sweaty before you get on that stupid flight do you? I so can't be borthered but there is no other way to get to Europe unfortunately:-)

Ok sweeties, take care and chat soon

GOT IT.....I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heya,

one hour after sending in the english test results I received a letter saying: Pre-Visa Grant Advice!! The only thing I need to do now is to go to Germany and collect my Visa from the embassy in Berlin!!!!!!!!

As I was going out for drinks with girls from work tonight anyhow I think the drinks will be on me..lol..

Woo Hoo....very weird feeling..

Love you all

Rebecca

Passed!!!!!!!!!

Woo Hoo! I just got the letter with the english test resulta and passed it with 8 out of 9 points, which puts me in the category of a "very good user of the english language"!!lol

Passed it on to immigration and will have to wait again till they come back to me hopefully with a letter saying: Who have got your permanent residency for Australia:-)

Well will have a drink on that tonight..
Take care

Moving...again...!

Ok, I moved houses again and if I counted it right this has been the 5th time in the last 18 month!! I am soooooooo over it!! But glad that it's over and done with now so I only have to take my suitcase in 2 weeks and get on the flight to Germany. and will worry about it again when coming back in September..lol..moved in with Deb into her flat in Prahran.up to now we are fine sharing:-) I think it's maybe a good thing that we are both working..lol.

After I had moved in we went down to Deb and Kels house in Sanctuary Lakes for a food, wine and Football evening..Some other friends came as well and we had a great night. You can see us all on the pic above..lol..When the England-Portugal Game finally started everybody except me was passed out on the sofa tho, so I had to watch it by myself! There is a reason why I don't do shots..lol..Well, I managed to wake up Deb for the penalty shooting as I thougth she'd be completly pissed of to miss everything..Didn't plan that they lose that badly tho..ah well, it's only a game and now we all have to cheer the german boys on!! The weather sunday was shocking so I stayed in and watch TV, before getting ready to go to St Kilda to meet Anna and Carolyn for dinner at a chinese restaurant. Was a good night. Back to the passportoffice during the day and the hotel at night for work so all as usual. Am waiting for my englishtest results still, but they should arrive either today or tomorrow!! Very excited. Will let you know what's happening.

I will load some pics up from the weekend, but forgot the USB cable at home so will update this entry in the next days so you can have some pics to look at..know you like that:-)

Ok, have fun today and speak soon.
